valency :- capacity of any atom combined with any other atom is known as valency .
here , Fe2(SO4)3 oxidation state of Fe is +3 ,
Confirmation of Fe+3 = 1s^2, 2s^2, 2p^6 , 3s^2 , 3p^6 , 4s^0 , 3d^5
hence, here you can see number of electrons in outer subshell = 5
so, valency = 8 -5 = 3

hence, here valency of Fe = 3

Fe₂(SO₄)₃

Symbol Fe SO₄
Valency 3 2

When we criss cross these , we get the chemical formula as Fe₂(SO₄)₃

Valnecy is the combining capacity of an elemet .The combining capacity of Fe with So₄ is 3 .Thus , the valency of Fe in Fe₂(SO₄)₃ is 3.
