rhythmmittal19: Actually according to chemistry again it says that the elements with 1,2,or 3 valence electrons in the outer most shell are mostly metals

Hi....

Valency of an element is the no of electrons present in the outermost shell...

Eg. Sodium(Na) has configuration 2,8,1... Hence here its valency is 1....

Hope this helps you....☺️✌️
