 \frac{3a + 1}{4}  =  \frac{a \times 3}{2 \times 3}  +   \frac{1 \times 2}{3 \times 2}

 =  >  \frac{3a + 2}{6}

 \frac{3a + 1}{4}  =  \frac{3a + 2}{6}

(3a + 1) \times 6 = (3a + 2) \times 4

18a + 6 = 12a + 8

18a - 12a = 2 \\ 6a = 2 \\ a =  \frac{2}{6}  =  \frac{1}{ 3}
