Viscosity is a fluid resistance to flow which is being deformed by either shear stress or tensile stress. In everyday terms it is the “thickness” or “internal friction”. The dynamic viscosity of water is 8.90 x 10^{-4} Pas or 8.90 x 10^{-3} dyne.s/cm^2 or 0.890 cP about 25 degrees. Water easily flows as it has lower viscosity whereas honey flows very slowly as the viscosity is very high for it.
