g ∝ 1/d

And,

g ∝ m

Thus,

Values of new planet are,

D = d/2

M = m/2

g of earth = Gm/d²

g of required planet

= GM/D²

= Gm/2 / (d/2)²

= 2 (Gm/d²)

= 2 x g of earth
