Given : A circuit diagram

To find :  value of i1, i2, i3

Solution:

V = IR

5i₁ = 2i₂    as in parallel so potential difference is same

also

i₁ + i₂  = 10 A     as in series with 10A current

=> 2i₁ +2 i₂  = 20 A

=> 2i₁ +5i₁   = 20 A

=> i₁   = 20/7 A

5i₁ = 2i₂

=> i₂ = 50/7  A

Similarly

i₃ = 2i₄

i₃ + i₄ = 10

=> 2i₄ +  i₄ = 10

=> i₄ = 10/3

=> i₃ = 20/3

i₁   = 20/7 A ,  i₂ = 50/7  A and  i₃ = 20/3  A
