what is the value of p if x-2 is a factorofx2-6x+p?

Answer:

p(x) = x² - 6x + p = 0

As, x-2 is a factor of p(x)

therefore,p(2) = 2²-6(2)+p = 0

=> 4 - 12 + p = 0

=> -8 + p = 0

=> p = 8
