HEYA !!!
When a body Falls freely then it moving under Gravity and acceleration due to gravity is acting downward on the body .
Because of this gravitational acceleration velocity of falling body is increases at a constant rate of 9.8 m/s ^2.
Hence velocity of free falling body is increased by 9.8 m /s in one second.
THANKS

hey buddy,
during freefall, the velocity of a body goes on increasing with a speed of approx. 9.8 m/s in earth.
so the velocity of the body goes on increasing, but this doesn't actually happen in Earth.
the Earth have its own atmosphere ( which is actually fluid ) so it resists that increase in velocity.
At end the increase in velocity finally stop.. n the body starts falling with a constant velocity.
this velocity is called terminal velocity.........
hope that helps✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
