What is the speed of light in water air?
Light is a wave(an electromagnetic wave) and speed of any wave(electromagnetic or mechanical wave) depends on the medium on which it travels.
For distinguishing two medium for light wave we defined a term “refractive index” and this refractive index also help us to find the speed of light wave in different medium.
Refractive index is defined as follows:-

We all know that speed of light in vacuum is 3×10^8 m/s

1.speed of light in air:-
Refractive index of air is approximately '1′ and so by the above formula speed of light in air is Same as speed of light in vacuum which is 3×10^8 m/s
2.speed of light in water:-
Refractive index of water is 4/3
So by using above formula speed of light in water =3/4×3×10^8 m/s= 2.25×10^8m/s.
