What is the velocity ratio of speed muliplier

Answer: A machine cannot be used as force multiplier as well asspeed multiplier. But a order of lever which can have velocity ratio greater than 1, equal to 1 and less than 1 can be used as forcemultiplier or speed multiplier.

For a machine working as a force multiplier, displacement of load is less than displacement of effort. Thus, the velocity ratio is more than 1. (ii) For a machine working as a speed multiplier, displacement of load is more than displacement of effort. Thus, the velocity ratio is less than 1
