The weight of the Tipu Sultan’s sword is 7kg 400 gm.
This weight is of the main sword that Tipu Sultan owned and possessed. Though Tipu Sultan who was the ruler of the “Kingdom of Mysore” had many other swords that he got or took after winning wars and marking his victory, a priced possession signifying his victory, power and the act of over-powering.
This sword was however taken away by Britishers when they won over Tipu Sultan back in 1799 signifying their victory.
