what is the width of a rectangle whose perimeter is 44m and the length is 5 times its width

Answer: let width be = x

               length be=5x

              perimeter of rectangle =2*(l+b)

                                                 44     = 2*(x+5x)

                                                  44  =   2*6x

                                                     44= 12x

                                                    44/12 =x

then

lenght = 5*44/12

width =  44/12

you can more simplify it
