The magnetic force on a moving charge is always perpendicular to the motion, so it does no work. ... The Lorentz Force Law say the force the magnetic Field B does on a charged particle with charge q is q*(v X B) where v is the velocity vector of the particle. So a magnetic force does no work in displacing a charged particle but it exerts force .
