Answer

  • m = 1500 kg
  • u = 36 km h⁻¹ = 10 m s⁻¹
  • v = 72 km h⁻¹ = 20 m s⁻¹
  • W = ?

Work done = Change in kinetic energy

= 1/2 m (v² - u²)

= 1/2 x 1500 x (20² - 10²)

=  225000 J

Answer:

Given that :-

  • Mass = 1500 kg
  • Initial velocity = 36 × 5/18 = 10 m/s
  • Final Velocity = 72 × 5/18 = 20 m/s

To Find :-

Work done

Concept :-

Here, Work done = Change in Kinetic Energy

And, we will use the formula of "½m (v - u)"

Solution :-

As we know that

½ × 1500 (20² - 10²)

750 (400 - 100)

750 × 300

225000 J
