if u mean screening in bio,,

then here is ur answer...

screening, more commonly medical screening ,is strategy in population to identify yet un- diagnosed diseases in human without any signs or symptoms ,, this can include individuals with pre-symptomatic or in recognized symptomatic diaseases there are two types of screening test .

carrier screening test which recognize diseases like Tay Sachs etc...
