we will have to subtract the number on which needle is when circuit is off from the number on which needle point when circuit is on

Answer:

  • When ammeter and voltmeter do not start the scale from point zero as they should then they are said to be having a certain error in the machine.
  • For calculating the old or current passing through a circuit the readings of ammeter is seen by nothing the amount of turn that the pointer in ammeter or voltmeter takes from zero.
  • But when there is an error and the pointer starts from A certain point that is not zero then that value is taken into account and the reading of ammeter or voltmeter from zero is taken and the previously taken amount should be subtracted from the acquired value.
