Given :  f(x) = (x – 8)(x + 3)

To find : y-intercept of the quadratic function

Solution:

f(x) = (x – 8)(x + 3)

y intercept where function cut y axis

hence x = 0

f(0) is y intercept

f(0) = (0 - 8)(0 + 3)

=(-8)(3)

= - 24

y intercept is  (0 , - 24)
