Zabt was a revenue system used by mughal rulers.Akbar's revenue ministers Tudarmal used this system very efficiently.

 Ranks and salary which was determined by zat which were awarded to Mansabdars. In Akbar's reign 29 mansabdars were given 5000 zat.
