Answer:

Zero Polynomial: The constant polynomial 0 is called as zero polynomial.

Zeroes of a Polynomial : The value of variable for which the polynomial becomes  zero is called as the zeroes of the polynomial.

For Example: Consider p(x) = x + 2. Find zeroes of this polynomial.

(i) If we put x = -2 in p(x), we get,

(ii) p(-2) = -2 + 2 = 0.

(iii) Thus, -2 is a zero of the polynomial p(x).

\color{red}{About \:Zeros\: :-}

⇒ Zeros is the value of a variable.

⇒ When it is used in polynomial, the whole polynomial is converted to zero.

⇒ That is called the zeros of a polynomial.

⇒ Zero may be zeros of a polynomial.

⇒ Every linear polynomial has one and only one zeros.

\color{red}{How \: to \:find \: zeros \:of \: linear \: polynomials\: :-}

number \: of \: zeroes =  - 1 \\ p(x) = 2x + 3 \\ let  \: \: p(x) = 0 \\ ∴  \: -  \sqrt{ \frac{3}{2} }  \:  \: is \: the \: zeroes \: of \: p(x) =  -  \frac{3}{2}

\color{red}{Verification :-}

p(x) = 2x+ 3 \\ p(  - \frac{3}{2} ) = 2 \times  -  \frac{3}{2}  + 3 \\  =   \:  - 3 + 3 \\  =  0 \\ ∴  \: -  \frac{3}{2} \:  is \: the \: zeroes \: of \: p(x) \:  = 2x+ 3 \: .
