Thermodynamics is a branch of physics concerned with heat and temperature and their relation to energy and work.

Thermodynamics basically deals with the interaction of one body with another in terms quantities of heat and work. It basically helps in predicting spontaneity and equilibrium and the extent of reaction or feasibility of reaction.
