What is thermosetting plastics

Thermo setting plastic are the synthetic plastics. As shown by the name they start setting on heating, when heat is applied on the plastic they get hard and strengthen, but once they get molded they will not return to its initial state nor it change its shape again on reheating.

Thermosetting Plastic :

These are the polymers in which chains get highly cross-linked on heating.

They can't be reprocessed.

For example, Bakelite, Melamine etc.

Their polymers are in arranged in order shown in attachment.
