First arrange the data in ascending order,

=> 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 4 , 4 , 5 , 5 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9

we know that,

Range = difference between highest and lowest

observation of data

so,

Range= 9 - 1 = 8

Therefore, range of the given data is 8.
