Thomson‘ atomic model:

  • thomson stated that the nucleus is a ball of positive charge where electrons are embedded in it unevenly.
  • the charge of electrons balances with the charge of protons and makes it stable
  • he named it as plum pudding model because the nucleus acts as pudding and the electrons are embedded in it in form of plums
  • his model failed as soon as Rutherford came up with another another model.
