Tidal energy:-

✨The energy associated with rise and fall of water in sea tides is called tidal energy. Tidal energy is not an indirect source of solar energy ✨..

Demerits of tidal energy:-

◾The range of rise and fall of water during tides is enough to produce electricity only on a small scale.

◾Tidal dams cannot be built everywhere on the sea-shore. Only a few sites are appropriate for building it.. .

Conclusion :- TIDAL ENERGY IS NOT A MAJOR SOURCE OF ENERGY.....

✍️Tidal power or tidal energy is a form of hydropower that converts the energy obtained from tides into useful forms of power, mainly electricity.

The demerits are following:-

Tidal energy can only be produce electricity during tidal surges, limiting electricity generation to 10 hours per day.

Expensive: Technology for generating electricity from tidal energyis relatively new and not yet commercially profitable.

Tidal power plants are also expensive to build and maintain.
