It is a kind of vegetative propogation in which a cell or a tissue of a plant is taken out and make it a complete plant. its advantages is that when the parent plant is infected with pathogens we can take out a piece of fresh shoot which were not infected and can make it a healthy plant without diseases ...and also its advantages is that we can produce many progeny from a single piece of the parent plant in laboratory during short period of time
