Tissues are groups of cells that have a similar structure and act together to perform a specific function.
A meristem is the tissue in most plants containing undifferentiated cells (meristematic cells), found in zones of the plant where growth can take place. Meristematic cells give rise to various organs of a plant and are responsible for growth.

Tissue is a group of cells having similar functional and shape and structure. Tissue increase the efficiency of cells.

In plant cells there 2 types of tissue:- Meristematic and Permeant Tissue.

Meristematic Tissues are the types of tissues that that divide and form new cells. Based on where the meristematic tissues are located they can be classified into to 3 types:-  Apical, Intercalary & Lateral Meristem.
