What is tooth enamel chemically? State the condition when it start corroding?

tooth enamel is chemically a compound called calcium phosphate.when we eat food,sometimes the food stucks in between the teeth. further bacteria acts upon this food to decay it and releases an acid . this acid further acts upon calcium phosphate(i.e. enamel) reacts with it and corrodes it
