Short notes on Tor:

(i) It is a free software program{Web browser} that you load onto your computer that hides your IP address every time you send or request data on the internet.

(ii) Tor doesn't support User Datagram Protocol.

(iii) It uses the Tor Browser and it encrypts using "Onion Routing"

(iv) It connects at random to one of the publicly listed entry nodes, bouncing that traffic through a randomly selected middle relay, and finally spits out the traffic through the third and final exit node.

Advantages of Tor:

(i) Your internet use is completely anonymized.

(ii) Distributed network.

Disadvantages of Tor:

(i) very slow - because of the numerous hops your data is relayed through.

(ii) P2P file sharing is not supported.

Hope this information helps!
