The food that is made by the leaves is transported to different parts of the plant through phloem THIS IS THE DEFINITION...

XYLEM HELPS IN transporting the water and minerals from the soil to make the food.

PHLOEM HELPS IN transporting the food made by the leaves and also the water and minerals that has been transported to the phloem from XYLEM

Translocation :

The conduction of material or substances from leaves to other parts' tissues throughout the plant, is called translocation.
Xylem conducts food through plants while phloem conducts water. So directly, they help plants in theirtranslocation.
