deepanshisohan: transpiration stream is the stream of water and solutes which is taken up by the roots and transported via xylem where it evaporates into the air.it allows the plants to efficiently transport the water up to its highest organ and than maintain the temperature of leaf and stem and when the transpiration is done it leaves the plant by diffusion through their stomata. hope it may be helpful for u now.
deepanshisohan: i forgot to mention one line that is
deepanshisohan: the main driving factor is the water potential caused by transpiration between soil and its cavity.
