THIS IS BECAUSE THE EQUATORIAL REGION IS HOT AND WET, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHILE THE MONSOON REGION HAS A DISTINCT DRY SEASON. THE MAIN TREE SPECIES FOUND IN THE EQUATORIAL FORESTS ARE EBONY ,MAHOGANY ,ROSEWOOD ,RUBBER AND IRON WOOD. THE NUMBER OF TREES SPECIES IS LESS IN THE MONSOON FOREST, BUT THERE IS A DENSE UNDERGROWTH. THE TREES SHED THEIR LEAVES DURING THE DRY SEASON. THE MAIN TREES FOUND IN THESE FORESTS ARE TEAK, SAL, SHISHAM, SANDALWOOD AND BAMBOO.
