the scattering of light rays by particles in its path is called tyndall effect.

example:-
when there is smoke or dust in  room and there sudden any light reflect by torch,we see the particles because that light reys falls on the particles and scattered on reaches to our eyes due to which we see particles. it is an common example of tyndall effect
