Ultrasound is sound waves with frequencies higher than the upper audible limit of human hearing. Ultrasound is not different from "normal" sound in its physical properties, except that humans cannot hear it.
*physical principle*
There are a number of considerations that must be taken into account in order to create ultrasound images of sufficient quality such as spatial resolution, temporal resolution, image contrast, and image noise. While ultrasound imaging is a non-harmful imaging technique one must understand all of the factors described above in order to be able to decode what is occurring during an ultrasound imaging session.
I hope it will help you!!
