Unemployment is the state of actively looking for a job, but not being currently hired. There are three major types of unemployment found in India:

1. Disguised Unemployment: this is a state in which more labors are engaged in a job than optimally needed. In other words, if a part of the labor force engaged in the production activity is removed and it does not affect the total production thus it is known as the disguised jobless labor.

2. Seasonal Unemployment: it is generated because of the changes in the seasons as many people per-form certain activities during specific seasons, for instance, the demand for agricultural labor.

3. Structural Unemployment: it is a situation that emerges when the economy fails to create enough jobs. It signifies the low rate of economic development of a country.
