Answer:

What is uniform velocity?

ans. If a body travels equal distances in equal intervals of time along a particular direction, the body is said to be moving with a uniform velocity.

State the conditions necessary for the motion with constant velocity.

ans.

  • A body moving along straight path with constant speed is said to have constant velocity. i.e. dv = 0.
  • As velocity is constant, acceleration also must be zero. i.e. a = dv/dt = 0 .
  • As acceleration is zero, net force acting on the body also becomes zero. i.e. F = ma = 0 .

A BODY IS SAID TO HAVE UNIFORM VELOCITY IF IT COVERS EQUAL DISTANCE IN EQUAL INTERVALS OF TIME IN A PARTICULAR DISTANCE.

I. E . s/ t = CONSTANT.

A BODY MOVING ALONG STRAIGHT PATH WITH CONSTANT SPEED IS SAID TO HAVE CONSTANT VELOCITY.
