The URL is the address of the website we looks for. This addresses are used to find or allocate the information required.

The two parts of the URL consists of
1) protocol identifier. -
2) resource name. -

The first part of the URL is called a protocol identifier and it indicates what protocolto use, and the second part is called aresource name and it specifies the IP address or the domain name where the resource is located. The protocol identifier and the resource name are separated by a colon and two forward slashes.
