The quantities that are expressed by both magnitude and direction are termed as vector quantities.

Examples : acceleration , displacement, force are all vector quantity as because they prefer to show both magnitude and Direction.

vector quantity :
those physical quantities which have direction as well as magnitude and follow triangle law or parallelogram law of vector addition is called vector quantity
for example : velocity, acceleration, displacement etc.....
