Vegetative reproduction is any form of asexual reproduction occurring in plants in which a new plant grows from a fragment of the parent plant or grows from a specialized reproductive structure. Explanation:

Vegetative propagation is a form of the plant's asexual reproduction. Only one plant is involved, and one parent's offspring is the result. The new plant is identical to the parent.

The offsprings of plants are the clones of the original plant because there is no combination of DNA. Grafting, cutting, layering, tuber, bulb or stolon formation, and tissue culture are the most common forms of vegetative propagation.
