advantages vegetative propagation

* new plants produced by the vegetative propagation maintain the desirable characters of the parent .this plant are genetically identical.

*this matter is cheap and can be easily employed to reduce plant especially fruit plant.

* only one parent is required for the reproduction

disadvantages of vegetative propagation

* no new varieties can be produced

*vegetative propagate plants are short lived , small compared to seed propagated plant
