Vegetative propagation is a form of asexual reproduction of a plant. Only one plant is involved and the offspring is the result of one parent. The new plant is genetically identical to the parent.

Two advantages :-)
1) Vegetative propagation is especially beneficial to the agriculturists and horticulturists.
2)  They can raise crops like bananas, sugarcane, potato, etc that do not produce viable seeds
Two disadvantages :-)
1)  The plants gradually lose their vigour as there is no genetic variation. They are more prone to diseases that are specific to the species. This can result in the destruction of an entire crop.
2) Since many plants are produced, it results in overcrowding and lack of nutrients
