Vegetative reproduction

Vegetative reproduction is any form of asexual reproduction occurring in plants in which a new plant grows from a fragment of the parent plant or grows from a specialized reproductive structure

Types of Vegetative Propagation. There are seven main ways of propagating a plant vegetatively: ... This is done by cutting off a scion, or branch, from a species with desirable stems, leaves, and buds from one plant. Meanwhile, part of a branch is removed from a different species that has desirable root.

Advantages of vegetative propagation. The main advantage of vegetative propagation methods is that the new plants contain the genetic material of only one parent, so they are essentially clones of the parent plant. ... This can also help to maintain consistent quality and taste in products made from plants or crops.Sep 24, 2013

ADVANTAGES OF VEGETATIVE PROPOGATION;
▶️ GROWING OF some seedless fruits plants like banana rose , grapes and etcccc

▶️ VEGETATIVE PROPOGATION is the only means to produce genetically identical offsprings

▶️ Superior quality flower and fruits can be produced by the method of grafting

DISADVANTAGES OF VEGETATIVE PROPOGATION;

⏩The good qualities cannot be introduced in or bad characters eliminated in plants multiplied through vegetative propagation

⏩Diseases contracted by a parent spreads to all the daughter cells .

⏩ Vegetative organs useful for propagation cannot be preserved for long.

⏩ Vegetative propagules or not so significant the only protected as the seeds are they are easily decade and are prone to various viral, fungal and bacterial diseases .

⏩ There are no variations therefore the plants may show degeneration and in such plants there is a less capability to change environment

⏩There is no dispersal of vegetative propagules therefore it cause overcrowding .

hope it helps you
