Question : What is velocity?

Answer :- Velocity is the speed of an object in a specific direction. Velocity is a vector quantity ,i.e, it has both magnitude as well as direction .

The SI unit of velocity is m/sec. Velocity changes as the magnitude changes or direction changes or both magnitude and direction change.

The concept of velocity was given by Sir Issac Newton.

Velocity is denoted by the letter v.

The only difference between speed and velocity is only about the direction. For talking about velocity, it would be said as 22 km/hr in north. This "in north" gives the direction of the object moving.

Velocity = \frac{Displacement}{Time taken}

hi dear....

VELOCITY is defined as a vector measurement of the rate and direction of motion. Put simply, velocity is the speed at which something moves in a particular direction, such as the speed of a car traveling north on a major freeway, or the speed a rocket travels as it launches into space. The scalar (absolute value) magnitude of the velocity vector is the speed of the motion. In calculus terms, velocity is the first derivative of position with respect to time.
