Velocity :- Velocity of a body is defined as its displacement per unit time .

  • velocity \:  =  \frac{displacement}{time}

  • Velocity is vector quantity and its SI unit is m/s .

  • Velocity can be positive , negative or zero .

\implies Know More :-

Speed :- speed of a body is defined as distance travelled by its per unit time .

  • speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

  • speed is a scalar quantity and its SI unit is m/s .

Acceleration :- acceleration is defined as rate of change of velocity .

  • It is a vector quantity .

  • acceleration \:  =   \frac{v \:  -  \: u}{t}

Equation of motion :-

u = Initial velocity

v = Final velocity

a = acceleration

s = distance

t = time taken

1 Equation :- v = u + at

2 Equation :- s \:  =  \: ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}

3 Equation :- v² = u² + 2as
