Verbs are action words that tells about the actions of the noun or pronoun . In easy wirds verbs tell about what is the subject in the sentence doing.
example : Rohit plays football.
in this sentence subject is Rohit so the work that is being done by him will be verb in this sentence like here according to this sentence he is playing football so the wok is play as followed by verb.

more examples : She does her work on time.
I was waiting for him .
We shall go from here now.
Sun sets in the west. etc.

Types of verbs:
1. Transitive verbs : action that requires a subject to complete its meaning.
like justin will do this work.

2.Intransitive verbs: the action words that do not require an object to complete its meaning
like : shweta writes.

3. Helping verbs: is /am /are
was/were
has /have
will/shall

4.Linking verbs:a word that connects the subject to a predicate .
like grandma knitted the sweater wonderfully.
here wonderfully is the linking verb.

5. Action Verbs:Tells physical or mental action.
like writes, sings,reads etc.
