Washington became president and did a lot for people. He served as a general and commander-in-chief of the colonial armies during the American Revolution.Later he became the first president of the United States and served from 1789 to 1797.

During the American Revolution, he led the colonial forces to victory over the British and became a national hero to everyone.He died on December 14, 1799, in Mount Vernon Virginia.
