we know that,

weight of the object (W) = mass(m)X acceleration due to gravity (g)

In the question

It is given that weight of wood on earth is 10 kg

so here we have to find its mass.

so divide 10/10 = 1

i divided the weight by 10 because the force of

attraction due to gravity on earth is 10 m/s^2.

so , we now came to know the mass i.e. 1 kg

acceleration due to gravity on sun = 274.13m/s^2 ( approximately)

hence ,

using the formula ,

weight = mass X acceleration due to gravity ( sun)

= 1 kg × 274.13m/s^2

= 274 kgs ( approximately)

so the weight on the surface of the sun is 274 kgs.
