hey friend here is your answer.....

X rays are a kind of super-powerful version of ordinary light: a higher energy form of electromagnetic radiation that travel at the speed of light in straight lines (just like light waves do). you'd find their wavelength (the distance between one wave crest and the next) is thousands of times shorter than that of ordinary light. That means their frequency is correspondingly greater. And, because the energy of electromagnetic waves is directly related to their frequency, X rays are much more energetic and penetrating than light waves as well. So here's the most important thing you need to remember: X rays can travel through things that ordinary light waves can't because they're much more energetic. We all know that some materials let light pass through them very easily while other materials don't. In much the same way, there are materials that allow X rays to pass straight through them—and materials that stop X rays dead in their tracks. Why is this? When X rays enter a material, they have to fight their way through a huge scrum of atoms if they're going to emerge from the other side. What really gets in their way is the electrons whizzing round those atoms. The more electrons there are, the more chance they have of absorbing the X rays and the less likely the X rays are to emerge from the material. X rays will tend to pass through materials made from lighter atoms with relatively few electrons (such as skin, built from carbon-based molecules), but they're stopped in their tracks by heavier atoms with lots of electrons. lead a heavy metal with 82 electrons spinning round each of its atoms, is particularly good at stopping X rays. (That's why X-ray technicians in hospitals wear lead aprons and stand behind lead screens.) The fact that some materials let X rays travel through them better than others turns out to be very useful indeed.

Hi friend
Here's your answer looking for

☣☢ X-rays:- X rays are electromagnetic radiations that are similar to gamma rays.
The rays are electromagnetic radiation and because of this reason only they are massless and charge less.

These rays are produced when, the electrons are emitted by the thermal emission from any metal and gets strikes to the target.

Here target means the place where the cathode rays get Strike.

After striking to the target the X rays are produced.
The X rays and gamma rays doesn't show any deflection in Electrical and magnetic field.

These rays was accidentally discovered.
It was discovered by the great scientist named as Roentgen.

When he was studying the behaviour of cathode rays in his lab.
Then he noticed that the photo graphical plate that is placed near the cathode ray tube has some black spots.
And that black spots are because of some electromagnetic rays that are coming from cathode ray tube where the cathode rays strikes to the anode.

Roentgen replace the anode with a high atomic number element or metal.
Then He saw that Cathode is emitting cathode rays as usual but when they get Strike to the anode of high atomic number element like tungsten, then he saw that there are some additional days are also emitted.

These rays where unknown to Roentgen. And that is why he was named that ray as X rays.

Later, he did many experiments with that rays.

he put electrical and magnetic field around the X-rays, but they didn't show any type of deflection.
That confirms that they have a neutral charge.

And they also have high penetrating power, by which they can easily penetrate.

X-rays can travel with the speed of light.
X-rays can also transmit energy in Quantum called photons.

These are much energized rays. That is why they can penetrate easily.
They can even penetrate through our body.

Hence, they are used in the check up of internal organs by the process of sonography.

These rays has higher energy than the radio waves ,microwaves ,infrared rays, visible rays and ultraviolet rays.

But these rays have lower energy than Gamma Rays and Cosmic rays.

So overall, its definition is:-

X rays are electromagnetic radiation that is produced when the electron cathode rays are transmitted by thermal emission from any metal and get straight to the target that is anode.

Hope you are satisfied with my answer
