▶️Xylem consists of tracheids, vessels, xylem parenchyma and xylem fibres. the cells have thick wall and many of them are cells dead.

▶️Xylem conducts water and mineral salt upwards from roots two leaves and two different parts of the plant.

▶️The components of xylem likeeping tracheids, vessels and xylem fibres have thick walls and so they give mechanical strength to the plant body

▶️Xylem parenchyma is the only living tissue on xylem which helps in lateral conduction of water and storage of metabolic waste.
