Youngs modulus :- it is the ratio of stress to strain and so Young's modulus has unit of pressure.Its SI unit is Pascal or Newton metre square

it's a modulus of elasticity which I'd denoted by ( y ) . and it is equal to normal stress upon longitudinal stress.

y = normal stress / longitudinal stress

y = FL/(πrSqu)∆L
