Z-DNA (default scene) is a form of DNA that has a different structure from the more common B-DNA form.It is a left-handed double helix wherein the sugar-phosphate backbone has a zigzag pattern due to the alternate stacking of bases in anti-conformation and syn conformation.

Hope this helps u.... :)

New research published in BioMed Central's open access journal Cell &

Bioscience is the first to show that left-handed Z-DNA, normally only found at sites where DNA is being copied, can also form on nucleosomes. The structure of DNA which provides the blueprint for life has famously been described as a double helix.Z-DNA is one of the many possible double helical structures of DNA. It is a left-handed double helical structure in which the helix winds to the left in a zigzag pattern (instead of to the right, like the more common B-DNA form).
